Encouragement When It’s Needed Most

The last time I saw my dad in his new home, he asked me if I’m a teenager.

I shook my head. “Do I look like I am?”

He scrutinized my face. “Are you 25?”

“You’re getting closer, Dad!”

My dad is legally blind and he has dementia, but I still took it as a compliment. 🙂

Oh Taryn— I cry every time I read your posts. You capture such a depth of the the sadness you are going through and the height of the joy The Lord gives you in His gifts of beauty ,calm and peace — all going on at the same time. He is with you every step of the way and a huge comfort. And every step of this journey brings such a pain in your heart and soul like you have never experienced before……. And it is so difficult!!! Thank you for sharing these moments with us as we pray for you ❤️

Thank you, Sue! I know you relate to this same pain in your heart and you have also experienced the beauty of the Lord in the midst of it. It’s encouraging to me to see that you survived and that you are still proclaiming the Lord’s goodness. I love you guys❤️
