There are Not Words

There are Not Words

The last couple days, my eyes have enjoyed a delightful feast. The visual stimulation of the Great Smoky Mountains in autumn causes my heart to join with God’s creation to give Him glory.

“The heavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands,
Day to day pours forth speech,
And night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words;
Their voice is not heard.”
(Psalm 19:1-3)

God’s creation is broadcasting its silent yet eloquent symphony, declaring His beauty and artistry to the world. One day, that visual symphony will burst into sound. The whole creation will be set free from its bondage.

“The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you,
And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.”
(Isaiah 55:12)

I can’t wait for that day!
