I’m still riding high today after hearing that beautiful Romanian accent yesterday. Ioan Brisc from the largest Romanian Baptist church in the States (in Portland, of all places) spoke in our seminary chapel and I was asked to join the lunch group for him afterwards. His stories, his warmth, his emotion, his jokes – it all made me homesick for the people and places God planted in my heart. As we parted, Pastor Brisc thanked me for serving in his country and loving his people. "Cu placere. With pleasure," I said. And I felt humbled and jubilant, all at the same time.
